New truck by SilverBullet11 on Mar 25 2011, 4:01pm
Hey guys, I just bought my first silverado yesterday after owning 4 F-150's. Wow what a difference in performance, handling, and comfort. I have a 2011 Silverado Z71 appearance package. I am very happy with this truck and I believe I will be a gm customer from here on out.

starting the rebuild by mamabeans920 on Feb 01 2013, 5:39am
I just purchased a 97 chevy c1500 ext. cab 5.7l v8. I got it from my uncle. the truck was involved in an accident 3 years ago. we had to have the frame straightened and a new bed put on. right now i'm just in the process of getting it started again, but after that, i hope to save up and have some fun really making it something special. 8-)

Carid.com by neildavis on Jan 04 2013, 12:20am
This is mostly out of frustration but figure from one truck guy to other truck guys it's good info. I recently ordered a new grill for my sierra and dealing the sales i could feel the salesman pressure of trying to upgrade my order. it turned my me and i said i look around some more being thrown off from the pressure. After research i found they had a good price. So i order and make sure the same guy gets the order/commission. Weeks later UPS says they have never received any package after long holds and multiple "customer service" reps they tell me they sold me a product that they do not have in stock because they no longer sell it. After waiting weeks for the grill it will now take weeks to get the order cancelled and refunded. So my advice from this frustrated truck guy to you... DON'T USE CARID.COM

bully dog gt tunner review by adams99z71 on Apr 19 2011, 3:52pm
well i just bought the bully dog programer last night for my 99nbs silverado 325ci z71. so far i love it.
the screen is small but with 20/30 vision i am able to read the gauges at a glance just fine, any bigger and i think it would be a distraction while driving. for my truck i am able to monitor

trans temp-rpm-timing-map-coolent-speed-load(its not vac like i thought but ohwell)-maf
intake temp.-trottle position-fuel flow-fuel econ-pyro(if i had the prope thingy) and battery volts
it says you can read barrometer but i didnt see that as an option when i hooked it up(like i said i just got the thing so who knows maybe i have to view intake temp as my number one gauge and barronmeter would pop up underneth)

depending on which gauge you selected for your number one guage you can also see other info. like if trans temp is number one you can see torque converter lockup or if fuel econ is number one then you can see wasted energy, ave fuel mpg.

it does not say you can view transmission temp with gas vehicles but it was there when i installed so maybe its a update.

um what else can i say. oh you have to unplug the power wire to shut the screen off, im not sure if it matter leaving it on or not i just dont like the idea of people looking into my truck and seeing bright shiny things to steal im just a little paranoid lol. instalation took about 45 minutes and tonight im going to run the wires through the firewall and hide them as much as possible so i'd say to install it professionaly by a DIY kinda guy give yourself an hour to an hour 1/2.

if you plan on buying one of these feel free to p/m me questions
