Well, everything you've heard about tow mirrors it true lol. If you had standard mirrors with power and heat only, and you get the ones with the little blinky red arrow in them, they'll plug right up and everything works.

Everything you heard about the install.....well that's another story. The little plate behind the handle comes out, grab handle trim comes off, filler comes off and low and behold there's 5 bolts exposed to take the panel off. Be careful not the drop the two side by side ones down the door....they're a booger. Pop the top off the lock and this is where everyone tells you to pop the door panel off....DON'T! Take the extra minute to remove the switches also. Just pry up on the switch pod and it'll pop right off. Dead center of the hole where you just took the pod off is the connector you're trying to replace. It's on a rosebud clip, so spin it around till you can see the connector lock. Push the lock and the connection is apart. NOW pop the door panel off LMAO. There are 3 rosebuds holding the stock harness to the door panel. Two are easy to get...the third, Holy B*lls! It is behind this huge chunk of bolted on metal. I ended up grabbing it with needlenose pliers and ripping, yes RIPPING, the stupid thing out. Whew! Now after that you gotta figure out how to fish the connector up behind that abomination of a piece of metal that I mentioned before. Well, the stock harness is wrapped not once, but twice around the other harness. Unwrap it at the bottom and pull it up through. Take the 3 bolts out of the mirror and take it off. Oh, you think when you take the nuts off it'll fall out right? NOT. You gotta give an almighty tug as there's yet another spring clip in the top of the thing. Man, got one mirror off.....35 minutes into the thing. Everyone said it only takes 20 to do the whole job....I must be a moron. Oh well, making progress. Alright, get your shiny new tow mirror out of the box, fish the connector through the hole, line up the three studs and put the nuts on. Of course, we gotta plug it in to see the little blinky red arrow go......except the Kool Vue mirrors have a harness that's 10 inches shorter than the factory one. Good thing we popped the switch pod off, or you'd never get it plugged in!. Route the wire back where the stock one was and pop the rosebuds into the door to hold it....except for that one I ripped out. No way in hell are you gonna get that one in without unbolting that huge chunk of metal I've mentioned twice now lol. Kinda get the door panel back up in place now, but don't attach it, with anything. Plug your new connector in. Hey! It works!! Yay!!. Pop your door panel back on, reinstall all the bolts, grab handle, and covers. Pop the lock top back on and voila! All done.

I know you're all asking yourselves, Where's the pics? Well I was sweating so bad cause nothing went like the writeups said they would, Everytime I went to take a pic, it was blurry. I got a couple I'll post later. I dang sure got one of that huge piece of metal. 8) Dont' know what it was for, but man was it in the way. Ended up taking me an hour to get both mirrors on. The second.......20 minutes lmao.

How in the heck did you do it without removing the door panel? There's no way to take the old harness out without taking the panel off. There are three rosebud clips through the door panel and there's no way to reach them without removing it.

Here is the pic of the abomination of a piece of metal bolted to the door. The little piece of yellow tape is on the edge of the rosebud that needs to be removed.
