Tonight marks the end of the first chapter. I've been on this journey ever since last year, when I started my business. I knew that sometime soon, a plow was needed. Having already purchased the truck, another $6000 for the plow was out of the question. This time around, a series of events have come into play, that have allowed me to take the next step in my business- snowplowing.
I began searching for a plow in early September, and once I found it (http://www.bossplow.com/power-v-xt-plows - an 8'2" steel V-XT plow), the next step was securing financing. I won't bore you with the financial details, but lets just say, a miracle took place at the 11th hour. I finalized the loan tonight.
During the process of finding the financing, I was able to get the truck ready- new tires, new front shocks, front and rear diff full of AMSOIL, as well as AMSOIL in the engine, transmission, and transfer case. I'm set for plowing- jobs are lining up nicely (driveways and alleys), and the truck is ready to go. The next chapter will include getting the plow installed (in two weeks), as well as figuring out the best ways to plow each customer, and learning how the truck handles with 900 LB. hanging off the front end. Stay tuned...
