Ordered Cooper Discoverer STT Tires Yesterday!

Permanent Linkby Austin on Nov 16 2010, 5:22pm

With the cold winter weather coming I finally got the go-ahead from the boss lady to replace my old tired and worn BFG TA/KO's. With the combination of 4-wheel drive and some 285/75R16 Cooper Discoverer STT tires on the way from Tacoma WA I don't think winter roads will be a problem this year.

The best price I could find was $242 per tire at Sears. I called around to every place in town and was surprised that Sears had the best price. So all said and done I paid $1,197.99 out the door which includes all their tire disposal fees, mounting fees, road hazard coverage, taxes, etc.

I'm excited. They are supposed to come in within the next day or two. You better believe I'll be taking some photos and showing them off when I get them on. 8-)

The road noise is a nice growling hum which is louder than the BFG TA/KO's. Since my truck isn't really a daily driver or used for commuting anywhere, noise was not a factor when selecting tires. In fact, I like the mean rumble of my tires coming down the street.
