ABS/Parking brake light on dash

Postby mx37kx [OP] » Nov 23 2013, 10:41pm

The other day I start my truck and the abs/p brake light comes on, blower motor doesn't work and the shift points changed. Brake fluid level is good. I changed the speed sensor on the tail shaft of the trans, nothing. Unplugged the wire on the brake booster, nothing. I changed the resister on the blower motor nothing.

The abs parking break lights are usually the wheel bearings. Most of the time. The blower motor could possible be your head unit took a dump

Check the connector at blower resistor those are notorious for overheating and not making a good connection. Usually need a new pigtail. Also if the resistor is indeed bad too I'd replace that (I think you said you did) along with a new motor. The motor usually pulls too many amps and starts the domino effect. Good luck keep us posted.

thanks for all the input. I changed the resistor with one of the new ac delco ones that changes the plug to 3 wires for the stock 7 wire and nothing happend. im thing the wheel baerings need to be change but for all that to happen at once im thinking it electrical problem somewhere. Also i was rear ended a couple weeks ago so monday am droping it off to get fix and im just say this happend when i was hit. So hopefully they can figure it out. Live down here in south florida the A/C is key, I dont really care about the abs light being on.
The head unit is stock and it does work, if the head unit and blower motor are wired together some how maybe i will unplug the head unit and see what i get. i also noticed that the cruse control doenst work. But i think thats because the abs light is on.
