Brakes

Postby *R1* [OP] » Aug 03 2012, 9:03pm

Well I have a 2009 GMC Sierra 1500, SLE 5.3. I know the rear is drum. But the front is determined if I have Brake Boosted or Something else. The clerk at autozone gave me a choice, I said I couldnt answer at the time.... I think it was either Hydraulic Controlled Brake Bootster or Vacuum Controlled Brake Boost....Dayumit I wish I remembered. Does this trigger anything to mind for any of you?

The clerk wanted to know whether or not you have vacuum assisted brakes or hydroboost brakes? That shouldnt matter to find out what pads and rotors you need only matters if you are replacing an ABS unit or brake booster. And from personal experience do not use anything but dealer stocked OEM parts for things like that...
