I'm not 100% sure on this as it relates to the trucks, but my 96 Cavalier had this issue years ago, and it was a fuse located under the glovebox area. It was horrible to try to replace because you literally had to lay upsidedown on your back to crawl under the dash. I hope that's not the same for your truck.

Sorry this wasn't a ton of help.

My bet would be the resistor has burned up. That is usually the result of a blower motor that has worn and is pulling too many amps. I would suggest replacing the blower motor at the same time so you do not burn the new resistor out.

It is the resistor, I have done enough of these to know.
Only problem is.... at the same time sometime the connector is bad as well.

Get the pigtail too. You'll notice that one wire will be smoked. The connector will probably be melted to the resistor. This is very common on American cars, but not unheard of in imports. Just the excess current going through those wires.

Your blower motor is probably going bad, drawing excess current. Replacing the resistor and pigtail will help for a while, but may burn up again in a year or two. Best to replace all three.
