Blower won't come on at all.

I just purchased a 1996 GMC Sierra and there are a few things wrong with it. Some are easy, but some have me stumped.

For example, the blower motor won't come on at all. I have checked the fuses, and they are all fine. I've never had to troubleshoot a blower motor before, so I'm not really sure how to go about it. I've read that it could be the relay or the resistor. Or I guess it could be the 5 speed switch. It doesn't do anything on any of the speeds.

Can someone advise me on what to check? Is there a schematic or pinout of the system so I can try to follow it and see where the problem might be?

Thanks for any help you can give!

Typically the motor gets old and begins to draw more amps which burns the resistor/or harness. Ide use a multimeter to trace the power until it stops. Where ever it ends is typically the issue... The motor is typically the reason for failure to start with, but changing it wont necessarily fix it if its already burned the resistor... Tracing the power is the best bet to diagnose it for sure!
