fan speed control

Postby michael97_chevy [OP] » Dec 09 2013, 2:10am

I have a 2006 Silverado with dual climate control. The fan speed only works in 1, 3 & 4, 2 & 5 stopped working. Does the unit need replaced? Also a coworker said his truck (same year as mine) stopped working and there was a service bulletin to replace it. Where do I find the bulletins?

The problem is the blower motor resistor is failing, it normally takes the wire connector with it, call the dealer with your vin and mileage and he will tell you if it is covered.
