Heater Blows!!

Heater Blows!!

Postby jimbob77 [OP] » Dec 05 2010, 7:30pm

I have a 94 Silverado and the heater isn't doing much heating. It's warm but a very mild warm. Any suggestions besides the old cardboard over the grill trick?

Is the engine getting up to full operating temp? Might be a thermostat issue. Also, could heater core be plugged?

This isn't a new problem. The heat has been weak since day one back in 94. It runs between 175 and 190 degrees. I would rather not install a hotter thermostat because I don't want to overheat in the summer. I pull a boat and a 27 foot camper too. Do they make a cover for the grill that may work?
