Replacing coolant hoses and releasing the quick connection at the heater core.

Heater Hose Removal

I'm planning on replacing the coolant hoses on my 01' Silverado. I noticed what looks like a quick connect where the heater hoses connect to the core. Is this just a larger version of what is used on some fuel filter connections? If so, any help on finding where to purchase tool for releasing the connection would be appreciated.
