Replaced clicking blend actuator on my 1999 ½ (new body style) z71 Silverado 5.3 cannot get it to reset disconnected the battery pulled the fuses still nothing. Now it blows hot when set on cold and cold when set on hot. I have read that many people have had this problem. how do you fix it. there are many different opinions. If anyone can help it would be you guys… help!!!!

I would set it to where it actually blows cold. I would disconnect the connector to the actuator and turn the knob to cold. I would then reconnect the actuator and see if that works.

THANKS Jordan i did try that. i set it to blow cold, unpluged it and set the dial to cold, plug it back in and it moves the door back to hot

Are you sure they gave you the right actuator. I worked on an Exploorer once that they gave me the wrong one. It looked the same, but aparantly was wired differently. I just happened to notice when I rechecked the part numbers.

You were right….. I cross referents the #s with the stock gm one and sure enough the one they sold me was wrong. Put the new one in today works perfect. Thanks for the help
