I am really surprised the EPA didn't snuff this out way back in the early days...the main loop hole was the fact most diesels and the HD trucks they were installed in didn't need emissions inspection.

I wonder if the programmers that are "off road only" will be affected??

That's EPA's way of creating jobs...its called "regulation forcing technology". That's why you have the emissions laden diesel you have today...EPA says "you need to meet XX emissions", and the engine manufacturers are forced to engineer and build compliant power plants.

They may be compliant with EPA coming out of the factory but they come alive with a dpf/egr delete

Pretty much all of the programmers (gassers included) have some sort of disclaimer on them like "for off-road use only"...I'm wondering if EPA is now going after anyone who modifies the programming like they did with emissions tampering. The easiest way to do that would be to nip it at the source...

Like I said before, I'm very surprised it took this long...

Don't get me wrong, I ran a MADS Smarty JR on my last truck...I'm not saying its right or wrong (really don't care), just making the observation.

Thanks, EPA. Killing jobs and wasting tax-payer dollars, just to satisfy some far-left wing fantasy about global warming. That spinning sound you hear is the founding fathers, in their graves...

We could just hook them to generators. Boom! Instant electricity. No need for solar or unicorn farts.
