throwin a p1093 codef

throwin a p1093 codef

Postby Captainjackryan [OP] » Sep 07 2012, 2:06pm

so i started throwing a p1093 code yesterday when i was on the road. i couldnt go more that forty five for a little while and everytime i would give it gas my rpms would dive. ive looked up common remedies for this and so far ive gotten shim it or put a race valve in, change the fuel filter, or get a lift pump. im just posting to see if you guys have any ideas or advice on resolving this issue a different or maybe more efficient way than just starting to replace things till you find what the problem is.

It's a low fuel rail pressure code. You could have a very plugged filter, collapsing fuel lines. But most likely your relief valve on the back of your rail is relieving pre maturely, or your injectors are worn and are returning too much fuel throwing your truck into limp mode.
