My horn stopped working on my 2000 GMC Sierra. We traced the problem to a loose ground under the airbag, so I guess you see where this is leading?
How do I remove the airbag to get to this ground?
From what I have been reading you need to press a tool such as a screwdriver or Lisle 55150 tool into the back of the steering wheel and then you should hear the pin pop loose and then do the other side and disconnect the wires.
Ok, my question is, we've been trying to push on the spring on the back of the steerwheel but nothing happens. Do I need to use two screwdrivers, to simulate the Lisle tool or can you do it with just one?
I need to get this fixed, it's getting inspected soon.
Any help would greatly be appreciated.
Thank you
Bruce
