The accs power mods that you are referring to in fuse circuit 43 turn off with ign shut down????? i have not tested that circuit, but if it does i will purchase the bussmann circuit adapter and use that.

Idk about them being linked to the ign shutdown? I jus know there is limited if any acc power points on these nnbs vehicles vs the obs or even nbs styles. Those write ups were supposed to provide that acc power...

So i just thought about it....
The usb is only power when the key is on, then loses power when the key is off.... im not sure exactly what that means yet as I have looked at the electricals on it BUT thats gonna be our lead!!!! Investigate and so will I

Last time I dealt with usb as a power source, it was just a red, black, yellow, and uhhh bare wire??? but only two of the wires were for power, red and black! SO, maybe we could splice into or split the usb and come off of it for power????

I am looking at the rear window defogger ,windshield washer pump two separate circuits circuits,the usb circuit comes out of the radio 5volts.

I was worried about that :/

AFTER thinking this out the answer was in the lights,The DRL circuit is the one, on during the day and night.thats if you drive with the running lights on {front} I do.A simple tap in the front light.keyed on and off.

I have a 2011 Silverado LT crew cab the backup camera kit i purchased was from rear view systems it is able to handle 3 cameras or a dvd (I am not using 3 camera's or a dvd just 1 camera ) after speaking to the tech service at rear view about the delay( 3 seconds) i encountered when i described how i hooked it up, monitor and trigger wire (2 separate wires) to the reverse lights (1 circuit ) they explained that the monitor will turn instantly if it is hooked up to a separate power source (other than the reverse) one that is on when the vehicle is running but shuts off when vehicle off, to prevent running down the battery (about 3 days without using vehicle)taping into any just circuit that is powered on when the vehicle is turned on can cause unexpected problems checking alldata for 2011 Silverado LT crewcab vehicle schematic# 2 DRL electrical diagram shows the yellow wire as hot when using the( DRL top headlight) that is were i taped in the Monitor circuit,Trigger wire light green to reverse light circuit.I drive using the DRL so this solves the problem for me.Also alldata electrical diagram 8 shows the backup lights circuit.
