avital 3100 install

avital 3100 install

Postby jknappen [OP] » Sep 27 2011, 4:33am

I'm installing a power door lock kit as well as an avital 3100 keyless entry and alarm myself due to shops here wanting 150 or above to install the stuff that I already have new in boxes. How difficult is it to install this stuff in my 2010 silverado W/T? any tips/ wiring locations and or diagrams or pics availiable out there. thanks

If you are the least bit not sure you should pay a shop to do it. On the newer cars and trucks it's a touchy install. If you tag one wrong wire you can smoke the ECM and then be out well over the couple hundred to install the alarm.
Buying things I don't need to impress people I don't know.
