hey all got a 2013 gmc sierra 3500 .... my problem is that when u lock/ unlock the truck with the key fob all the lights come on, i installed a back up alarm on it and that also goes off. just wondering how to wire the alarm to go off when it only goes in reverse

Im assuming you spliced into the reverse harness? I know gmupfitter has an explanation on backup alarms and I doubt they spliced to the tails. Ide give their electrical diagram a read and see what they did exactly. Also, might have to go to 2012 or earlier, idk how detailed the 2013 is yet?

yes at first i hooked it up to the reverse power coming from the taillight. when i lock and unlock it the alarm would go off. i got a relay and i know there is a wire i can tap into at the BCM under the dash but iam just not sure wich one i looked at the upfitter site and i couldnt find much about what wire to tap into?

So you just need a location for ignition? switch power?
