Back up sensors

Question

Back up sensors

Postby BigTexJB [OP] » Feb 22 2012, 8:25pm

My trucks back up/parking sensors seem to work sometimes and then other times not work. Is this a regular problem? If not what could be wrong with them? Any help will be greatly appreciated

The heated windshield washer fluid was probably removed in a recall. Apparently, the system was burning up trucks. You can add it back in as all the wiring is still there, just need to add a fuse in the fuse block.

The back up sensors are touchy. In our ambulance at work, if they are just slightly dirty/dusty, they give false readings. I haven't had my truck long enough to experiment with the back up sensors to know if they suffer the same problems.
