Cruise control install?

Cruise control install?

Postby Jester [OP] » Apr 30 2011, 5:26am

Sadly my truck did not come with Cruise Control, I noticed there is a fuse in place for it though. Does that mean I can replace the Wiper arm with one that has CC on it and it will work or is there more involved with it?

Thanks

There is alot more involved than adding a fuse and a wiper arm. Look into the aftermarket and do a search on this forum I'm sure someone has done this already.

Most of the posts I have seen with Cruise Control have after market systems and love them. Like gmctruckguy said, it probably involves a lot more than just dropping in the stick. If you find out it is as simple as that I am sure there are people on here that would love to know that.

Re the cruise control, see the How to Install Aftermarket Cruise Control that I did on this subject, if you are good at soldering, there is only 5 wires to solder on and it is simple enough to do. I hope this helps.

'03 Silverado 2500 HD, std cab. I installed aftermarket cruise control bought on Ebay for $60 delivered. Plug and play, no soldering. 45 minutes. Amazing.
Audio shops wanted $400.
