Yes my truck does do that correctly. So not the fuses, switch, or the door switches. What's left?

I... Idk! Lol! I can only assume something is programmed off? Like through the DIC or something? Or some kinda bug, maybe changing some setting and unhooking the battery and letting the computer reset? Maybe tr circuit is different for door opening vs door unlocking? I dont think it is but maybe... So i guess ide have to test continuity from the bulbs to the switch just to rule the actual circuit out...

I guess its plausible the door switch works and send the signal to the bcm, but after that it isnt going anywhere...?

Well I put a new battery in Monday and I've checked the DIC a 100 times it's not that. It's very annoying lol. If I hit unlock on the remoteless key they come on but go off after about 5 seconds.

This issue is being noted. If not working as it should be, described on 3-76 of the Owner's Manual, please consult the dealership to have it taken of. Let us know what's going on and if the lighting issue is repaired properly. Thanks and I hope you're doing well.

This is out of warranty and I can only imagine what a dealer would charge to look at it. I'm sure it's $95 just to diagnose it.

I have the same problem with my truck, luckily for everyone here that one of my good friends is a gm mechanic. I spoke with him and he laughed, he asked does it not come on when opening either door or just one. Sure enough, only on the driver side. Replace the latch because the door switch is integrated into the door latch.

I have the same issue with the driver's door. With the passengers door, and remote it functions fine. I have replaced the drivers lock actuator, and even the drivers window control, as recommended by a collision tech, with no effect. I have tried to get a wiring schematic, and visually checked the wiring in the hinge opening, no pinched wires. It doesn't turn off the radio, and if you lock with the door open it cancels the lights, even with the DIC setting on 1 or 2 minutes. I am at the point I think it is a BCM issue. I have called GM customer service, and the also have no answers. " Make an appointment with your dealership"
Not the answer I want to hear at $80 + per hour....
I posted this issue in another thread, still no results.

Just an update:
I spent 3-4 hours on Sunday afternoon, just because it was nice outside.
The result was after removing the entire door harness ( all 6 connectors ) and the jam side ( 3 connectors ) and removing the protective boot, I had 3 broken wires, and an additional 9 with cracked insulation. I replaced the bad sections with wire, solder joints with heat shrink, then re-taped and reinstalled.
The 3 broken were a gray / black stripe for the dome light, the tan for the front speaker, and a black ( IDK which circuit the ground was for)
I only have 88k on the truck, and don't really understand what happened. Might have had too much tension on the harness. The speaker broke while I was removing the boot between the door and the jam, but the other two were broken for some time.
