Assuming you have not modified the vehicle, I would think it is a burned out bulbs, bad ground or fuse for the headlights or a failed headlight switch. It is PRETTY rare that they all go out like that.

Is there a headlight relay on that truck?

I checked the bulbs, there ok. I can hear the relay clicking when I go from low to high beam. I had an 06 silverado & It had a, I think gm calls it a headlamp resistor or diode. I can't find one on this truck. I thought maybe I was missing something. I was a gm mechanic for 26 years & got out of it. I now own a lawn care company. I miss having all the manuals & schmatics to figure problems out.
