Horn Fuse Blows Frequently

Horn Fuse Blows Frequently

Postby 2wd1500 [OP] » Sep 10 2011, 4:08am

Hi- 2000 1500 Chevy. Horn fuse burns out frequently. I was wondering if anyone else had this problem and what the fix was? I figure I have a short in the wiring, the horn is bad or there a short in the steering wheel. Any ideas?

I would try disconnecting the actual horn and then go about your normal use of it. If the fuse blows the problem is somewhere in the wiring to it. If it doesn't then its the horn which should be a lot easier and cheaper to deal with than the wiring harness.
