How to disable drl on 2011

Follow up...also seems as if delay mode on wipers is disabled now too...the lack of memory seat is not bad, but the no wiper delay would be a deal breaker for me...can anyone chime in/help/confirm?

I pulled my DRL fusees when I installed my HIDs. My delay wipers still work fine.

I have no issues. The DRL's are off and everything else works, including wiper delay and memory seat.
Double check those fuse numbers...

I would double check your fuses also. But another option is to leave all the fuses in and only pull the DRL relay.

Interesting approach. Where is the relay? Also, could that keep the low beams from coming on at all? (Excuse my ignorance, I am definitely not an expert on the electrical aspects of these trucks).

Should be located in the under hood fuse box. I done this on my Colorado I had and also on a Tahoe we used to have. Worked great.

Honestly. I understand the HID thing but why disconnect it? just to save a few hours of bulb life when you might save a life when using them?
My old truck didn't have them and people never seem to see me but now I dont see as many people pulling in front of me. Motorcycles are the worse. They say we need to look out for them but when you ride like the idiots here how can you. 120 in heavy traffic does not warrant my respect.

Thanks for the follow up guys. I will double check...but I do know both by Hi Beam DRLs are off....and I pulled the two fuses I was supposed to...I will reinsert and see if both the memory seat function and wiper delay work or if something else is somehow up at the same time....and I will look for the DRL relay.

My personal take...I would love the DRLs if they were the Marker Lights...like on the Malibu or Corvette....I replaced mine w/silverstar 3157s and they look sweet, but the Hi Beeam....I hate those as my DRLS....for whatever reason. ;-)

Wait a minute....
You have the new body style, right? Then the DRL should be the low beam. Basically, the DRL is the low beam operating at about 9 volts, rather than 12 volts.
It's definitely not the high beam. We should be so lucky that it would be the high beams, or the marker lights. I could live with those, and then there would be no need for a relay, fuse pulling, or anything.
