New LED's

blinking issue

New LED's

Postby ppoopruitt1 [OP] » Feb 16 2011, 10:19pm

I just made the conversion to all LED's exterior (pictures soon)
Anyway my blinkers are now blinking fast just like when there is no light in the socket. The light does blink just fast.
How do I fix this?

iirc - you need to put a resistor in parallel to increase the current draw. The resistor sucks up the additional power and the LED's keep seeing 12VDC - I don't remember what size though.

V-LEDS.com also sell a relay that takes care of that problem.
Why is it when I press "1" for english, I still can't understand the idiot on the other end of the line?

Or don't do inline resistors (that's 1 per light) and just replace the flasher with LED designed flashers for 12bucks:

I ordered the flasher for my 2004 chevy silverado truck and installed it and it works. The relay i got and replaced was behind the fuse block in the cab. i found it easier to access once you take the knee guard(plastic deal below steering wheel) off and you can see it right there. To find it put ur hazard lights on and you can hear it and feel it click. The part i ordered out here in cali was 62 bucks and i just called a local auto parts store and they ordered it right up for me. Just be sure they get the one for LED and not other stock one.
