Power locks and Power Mirrors

Postby hart [OP] » Oct 09 2011, 5:47am

I read a couple of threads similar to this post, but they didnt answer any of my questions. I just bought a 2000 GMC SLT Sierra and realized that the power lock switch on the passenger and drivers side both did not work, along with the power mirror switch. Today I pulled out the auto manuel and bought some fuses and was able to fix the issue by replacing one of the fuses. not more than an hour later, the power mirrors and power lock switches stopped working again. Any suggestions or ideas what the issue is?

Sounds like you have a short somewhere in the wires. It keeps popping fuses so look for a frayed wire or poor connection somewhere in the wires.
