Intermittent Power Seat

Power Seat

Postby Colfod [OP] » Aug 11 2011, 2:06pm

My driver's side power seat is intermittent. Sometimes when I attempt to adjust it while driving it will not move in any direction. I sprayed electrical contact cleaner on the control and it worked for a day. I can adjust the seat before starting the truck, and before putting it in drive or reverse, and also sometimes when on the interstate. After that, it just quits. Any ideas? It is a 2007 LTZ crew cab.

Look real close at the wires under the seat. Especially the ground wire. When you try to move the seat, is it trying to work or just silent and no noise at all?

I'll check the wires tonight. Right now there isn't any noise so it could be the ground wire; will let you know.
