hi i have a 2011 silverado id like to put hids on it but i also still want the drl to work
is there a way i can use my fog lights for daytime running lights?>

If the 11 is the same as the 07 you can do it right in the fuse box with a little wire a relay and a fuse.
Buying things I don't need to impress people I don't know.

Also, your DRL's will still work with the HID's.

well i said screw it.. i installed my ddm hids in the 11 silverado no harness no fancy mods nothing.
just all plug an play worst part was zipp tie in the ballasts.
so now start truck drl on which are the hids. just waiting for night fall to adj them
quick question which way do i turn the adj screw to lower the beam?

Not 100% sure...but....
As long as you count the turns of the screwdriver, you will be fine. Give it one full revolution while watching the garage/wall/whatever you are parked near. If it's going the wrong way, back it off and go the other way.

For two days I wanted to ask that question. I had my leveling kit installed and have not had a chance to adjust the headlights. I searched wayyy too much and put way more thought into it.... then this post and then the even easier answer... Thanks fellas. Laughing at myself once again.
