I have been trying to get to the bottom of this myself with little luck.
I have been told the K68 is a modern alternator and not an old timey generator that is basically a DC motor.
Why they call it that and have a separate 105 amp alternator is still a mystery.
Any GM alternator specialists that can explain this ?
