I don't think i'm goin FI for now.. and even IF i do it, i'm not goin turbo.. never been a fan, don't believe i ever will be..

For starters, I think I'm just gonna do the LQ9, cam, cai, e-fans, 4.10s, and posi rear end.

I imagine later on when I want even more power, I'll do LS3 heads, LS3 vette intake manifold, and the works.
Buying things I don't need to impress people I don't know.

Those are decent heads, but the L92 heads are where the big power is. You could always have a port and polish done on the LQ heads. Stock 317s (come on LQ engines) flow pretty well and with a mill, port and polish you'd have some big gains. If you're going to go that route then I'd just get an LQ4 because they're cheaper and easier to obtain.

Edit: and if you think you might boost (turbo/supercharged) the engine in the future then definitely go with the LQ4 because of the lower compression ratio.

X2

We have the L92 heads on the Silverado SS. The LQ4 choice is what I was getting at if you ever wanted to go FI.
