I think it would be easier and cheaper to just modify the 350. You can always go old school and put a non computerized distributor and carburator on it. That way you can put a little more cam in it and add headers and a good aftermarket intake manifold and not have to worry with affecting the computer program.
You can convert it. You would just need a new intake to fit the engine, a non-computerized distributor and carburator. You would also need a fuel pressure regulator to lower the fuel pressure.
You could do that. I'm not sure if that would give you the power you are looking for. I guess you could call some of the manufacturers and ask them.
