blow head gasket

Postby J.T. [OP] » May 18 2010, 7:45am

so when I bought my truck in 07 I notice a slow coolant consumption ( no visable leak ) didnt think much of it until it got worst last winter. So i ran some dye in the coolant, sure enough it was in the oil. So i put some headgasket sealer in the system and change to the green coolant instead of the dex-crap. The sealer def slowed it down to nearly no leak and I know its a temp fix. to the point, compression test i know that if certain cylinders are low it can mean different thing does any one know? also the crap castech head any one know where i can get a diagraph of where the common cracks are?

around the head bolts. Your motor most likely has the #706 heads but could have the #862's They both have the same issues with cracking around the head bolts your best bet would to look there and then get rid of the castech shit heads horrible design great motor with shitty parts...
