What do you mean by "Redone"? I drive a 2002 and I'm thinking about buying one of those Hypertech GMC Sierra Computer Chip Programmer Power Programmer lll things.

Supposedly you can make these adjustments:

  • RPM Rev Limiter
  • Transmission Adjustments
  • Tire Size/Rear Gear Ratio Change
  • Back-To-Stock Tuning
  • Top-Speed Limiter
  • Cooling Fan On/Off Temperatures

There is many brands and models of cpu programmers but I guess I just trust Hypertech for the fact that they invented power tuning. I'd love to hear some reviews and different options regarding Bully Dog computer chips and other cpu programmers.

Yeah that is exactly what I'm looking to do. I just didn't know if anyone had any reviews on Hypertech, Superchips, Bully Dog or even one that may not be as popular.

definately the hypertech hyperpac most bang for the buck i know on my 6.0 with the hyperpac i got about 42hp but thats with the intake and everything else done if your gonna do a programmer your gonna want the intake, exhaust etc. done before hand youll get more out of it cause everything will work together

I agree HOTROD HELL, if you go and do the tuning with the programmer and dont already have the performance mods done, you will just have to go back and do it again to get that extra hp. every little thing you do to your engine will either add to or take away the performance most of us are looking for. I have used Hypertech in the past and it work AWSOME! i will not even look at other brands. The bully dog brand is ok if you are driving a deisel. that is their area of expertise.

I have a Superchip Flashpac and love the differeance my truck has with it. You are not going to get out cheap on one of these. They start around 300.00 and go way up from there. I've seen some of them hit 1200.00. They all have pros and cons. Just think about what you want from it and do your homework to find the one that best fits your needs.
