G Force chip?

has anyone tried one?

G Force chip?

Postby parrothead600 [OP] » Feb 21 2011, 4:46am

I'm looking for some input. Does anyone have any experience with on of these chips? http://www.gfchips.com/chevroletsilveradoc1500.aspx
According to the web site, it installs in the IAT wires. They make some prety good claims, but I'm looking for some unbiased opinions.

I looked at G-Force chips but I ended up going with the Hypertech programmer instead. I was very happy with it. Got both HP and mpg gains.

BTW, welcome aboard. Got black rims?

You should buy my Jet Performance chip. If you have a 6.0 that is. And Wingnut, what's the deal with you and black rims? Fetish?

Bet it looks awesome with the camo paint. Need to get pics of it!

Sorry for the hijack. Back to your regularly scheduled performance chip debate.......

New Guy here! I am more familiar with motorcycles than cars and trucks. I just bought a new Silverado 1500 with a Vortec 4.8 V8. I am always interested in anything that may improve gas mileage especially if it won't sacrifice power. I assume a Hypertech programmer or G force chip is similar to a Power Commander or a Screaming Eagle Race Tuner in motorcycling. If so does installing either of these items have any effect on the factory warranty? How much does it cost and do you need to dyno your vehicle to get it properly tuned? Thanks for any info you can give me on this!
