a few months ago I installed an L3 racing (ebay special) cold air intake that I got locally off CL. it had a decent sound but wasn't really the look I was going for.
found a good deal on an Injen intake in the classifieds here and swapped it out last week.
the look is a lot nicer imho and it feels like it is flowing better. the other intake seemed to be pulling in the wrong amount of air at 1300-1600 rpm when going up an incline and made the truck a little jumpy (I have a 6.2....don't think this would be an issue on smaller motor). it has smoothed out driving the same spots and I think this is the reason.
the tube on the Injen reminds me of the airraid MIT. the air box is sealed well to keep engine heat out. it has an amsoil nano-filter to keep the air nice and clean.
and the old setup
