hey, i have a 95 chevy 4x4 with a 5spd tranny and a carbd old style 4bolt main 350 its gots new style tbi heads on it right now with a mild cam and headers, i've got a set of double hump heads thts been redone with 2.02/1.60 valves and double valve springs. etc i was jus wondering if i would be able to tell a differance in power or sound by puting them on it thx for any info

Short answer, yes it should make more power. Expect to wallow the inside 4 intake bolt holes on your current intake, though.

I'm not sure I agree with "Oh that Guy". It's going to depend on the size of the combustion chambers and the compression ratio on both setups. I've worked on the old small blocks for 40+ years now, and all the guys replace the old fuelie heads(double hump) with the new vortec heads and put on the vortec manifold to make more power. The old camel humps are totally outdated with the designs that are available today. I pulled mine off the Vette a few years back and put on a set of vortecs that had been reworked and what a difference. Do a little more research before going thru all that work just to be disappointed in the end. Good luck with whatever you do.
