I am looking for a tuner for my 2015 Chevy Silverado 1500, I dont know much about tuners, I just want one to get added hp and stuff, I am looking at the Diablo intune,
I just want to know how tuners work, and the need to knows about them?
Serious custom tune Diablo and theres a lot of talk about this guy lew at diablewtune otherwise for plug and play all by your self do a superchips. Nice reliable tool that's been out a long time. The two I see no complaints on.
There is no need for a custom tune whatsoever. It took me less than 10 minutes to install the tune on my truck with the intune.
You get the tuner, plug it into the computer to update it then plug it into your truck and select the tune you want. It's that easy.
The custom tune from Lew is something extra you can get if you want the most power and efficiency out of your truck. He custom tailors it to you personally

Yea but if you're not doing a custom tune then why spend money on the Diablo when superchips can do the same for $280. Not getting any good tune for that cheap
A tune custom to your truck is the only way to go in my opinion. I run the EFI Live Autocal from Blackbear Performance. I've had it, with multiple tunes from Justin since I bought the truck. Zero complaints, always had a good experience with the Autocal and the guys at Blackbear.
Yes but very expensive. Do you have to buy the tool and then do the custom tune? Or is the guy doing the tune do it through theirs? Superchips if you pay them for instance the tool can handle more than one rig. How does that work price wise??
Yes. I bought the Autocal and then get unlimited ecm/tcm tunes for as long as I have the vehicle. I've had several re-tunes for different modifications and speedo corrections. You can also read/clear codes.
You'll want to pick the tune for the octane gas you run all the time.
For the bigger tires you will want to input the actual tire height into the tuner and any gear ratio change when you flash the new tune.
That will come up when it asks of you wish to modify the 87 tune (or any if the other ones)
