When acclerating hard, like 0-60, is it normal to hear a slight, slight whine in the engine bay? If so, is that like the alternator or water pump or something?

Mine has dones this from day one, it is a 2010, just cuirous is others have noticed that

Its normal..most any newer GM i have been in makes an electrical while when accelerating...my wifes 05 trailblazer makes the most whine of anything i have ever heard

Electrical whine as in the speakers? That sounds like a poorly insulated antennae coax. Never had a whine in my truck; electrical or otherwise.

I've noticed mine has a slight whine, but I think it's in the transmission, it changes pitch that corresponds to the shifting of gears. I've heard this in the larger Allison's as well. I figured it's just because I have a big, bad truck!
