You won't get a lot of help on this here. Theres only a few active members running tunes on their rigs.

Check out blackbear, it seems to be popular among gas trucks.

Way to run him off, LBZ. Thanks for coming to your own conclusion and assuming that nobody reading this has a tuned truck and is willing to offer guidance.

I wonder if you read my post since you're coming to your own conclusions. I didnt say no one had tuning, just a few that are active. There have been multiple threads on tuning in the past few weeks and this is the first time I've seen you post in any of them.

My apologies, I wouldn't want to upset a supporter with 20 posts in a year. But I think your focus should be providing useful info to the OP like I did. But hey, this is the intra tubes and we can all have our opinions.

Who dose the best custom tunes and what tuners do they use.

Postby LBZDMAX » Feb 13 2011, 5:25am

Sorry OP for the derail.

More useful info:

Diablo makes a good canned tuner. People really like em. I have had em for both gas and diesel and was happy with the tuning.

Also, the diablo tuners are able to download up to 5 custom tunes made by any tuner listed on their site. They're listed by zip code.

There's many more choices out there. Custom tuning wins hands down if youre comparing them to handhelds. Everyone who has had both will testify to that. Good luck.

im running a superchip cortex and so far i like it. with 91 octane, i can definetely feel way more power compared to stock. ive heard good and bad things about it, but i decided to give it a try. diablo is a good one too. my buddy runs a diablo and his truck runs great. the best is to do research
