HP gain

Banks

I'm looking at getting at Banks monster exhaust system for my 5.3 1500, I'm curious if anyone know the horsepower gain I can expect from this. I can't seem to get an actual number from the Banks site.

The only way is to find out for sure, is to have someone with the same exact truck as yours do the work first. Banks won't say because it's not a perfect number, and if they were wrong, it would be a legal issue. They can estimate, but there is way to tell a true exact number of HP you'd gain.

Banks surely is a very high quality system, I wish I could get one. I would suggest Youtube for other Banks installs on similar trucks, and see if anyone else has an actual test figure.

When i did my upgrades, i thought I was doing it all backwards. I did the tune first, and found out, from Justin at Blackbear, that there's no specific order, the brain readjusts the a.f.m. to keep things right. I also found out that a straight through exhaust will give you the best gains. I ended up going with Banks 3" Monster Exhaust. I modified mine a bit, you can see in my other thread. By itself, meaning a straight through muffler, I'm told 10-12 hp. but I have no real specs. I'm very happy with the Banks system. Works good sounds good. Kind of a medium aggressive sound.

I am seriously considering the Banks Monster for my 6.0 Max.
I have only watched clips on YouTube. Sounds good though.
