Carven R series

I will say that running duals and just regular single straight tips will changes the sound a bit. My buddy did it and sounded much different than mine. Wasn't quite as raspy

Wow just seen this thread just now. Sounds good brother!! Man I may just go with this instead of the Borla XR1. I live in CA and I've never heard of Carven until now. Thanks for the vids!

The xr1 is also a nice option. But after a year with this one I'm still happy

I was just wondering what would you recommend two carven r mufflers to a Y then single out or a Y to a single carven r muffler single out? I would go true duals but I actually the single side exit exhaust just like the factory. Which would be louder? Quieter? Better flowing? Sorry if I don't know the correct terms. Also have you seen the Carven TR in person? Or a pic maybe? What does the inside of it look like? Sorry for all the questions. Your vids just got me really interested in the Carven series mufflers.

After reading the OP's post and watching the vids, I jumped on the Carven R bandwagon and I'm glad I did! Sounds good on start-up, no drone and just enough "Bark" so you (and others) know it's there. I'm very pleased. I have 3" mandrel piping from the flex pipe back to a 4" satin black tip. Count me a satisfied Carven customer.

Thanks for posting this information! Forgive me for my ignorance, but I just purchased the R series, y pipe and 2 tips. The plan is to have the new exhaust installed this Saturday. The shop with the best reviews and best quote stated the only additional pipes I should need is the dual tail pipes. Is having the shop use a combination of stock pipe with new tail pipes like they quoted a waste of money or should I request all new pipes?

Again, thanks for the information!

You can find pics of the tr online. It's similar to a glass back. And no you put the y adapter after the muffler unless running true duals
