Dropped the GMC off at my buddies shop

Took the truck by my boys shop and he is going to remove the resonator to how it will sound. He said it shouldn't be to much louder but we will see. What do I got to lose, I'm only out a 12 pack. Let you guys know how it sounds in a few.

Keep us posted, Chas... does anyone know if older trucks (i.e, 2003 Sierras) had resonators?

Ok, as my buddy got the truck on the lift and did the inspecting he found out that what I thought is a Resonator is some thing else called a flexpipe.

He informed me it would not change the tone or make my exhaust any louder.

Oh well, we still got to sit around and enjoy a couple cold ones.

Now time to decide if I want to spend $300. on a true duel with x pipe and all.I think he is really hooking me up at price.

I am just a little bored with the single in single out Flow that's on her now.

I don't think ours do. Last time I was underneath the truck to put in the Gibson system all I saw was the Cats and the muffler.
Marine because.

what about removing the last cat ?

I dont see any sensors monitoring the exhaust after that cat...

or for appearance sake, hollow it out...

Mine only has two cats on each side of the engine. Nothing after that. Just have to make up my mind what I want to do. I want a lil more noise out of her. Have a 3 chamber Flow now, so thinking of either doing the duals because I can get it done cheap or just swapping to a two chamber and calling it a day.

My buddy said I wont really gain much doing the dual setup but I like the sound of true dual exhaust. Only worry is how funky it will sound in 4 mode.

I can always shut it off with my tuner though.

Long-tube headers, and 4" straight pipe all the way after that- that's what you really want, right :D?

Headers would be cool, but don't really want to dump that much coin. Looking to find an older truck to build a mud and rock crawler out of. So all the money will be going into that as soon as I get out to Oklahoma.
