Dynomax VT exhaust?

Dynomax VT exhaust?

Postby ant_mb [OP] » Jan 24 2012, 4:55am

Hey guys

I just ordered a new dynomax cat back exhaust for my 2011 silverado 4.8. I did a ton of searches, but can't find much info for the 2011. Anyone installed one yet? Any thoughts, tips or tricks on the install? I plan on taking before and after pics and video.

Thanks for the help.

I just ordered the same exhaust system for my 2012 Sierra. I talked to a buddy at the dealership and he said it would fit my 2012. It was hard to find an exhaust for my standard cab long bed, so this was the only option I could find. Mine should be at my door tomorrow!

I had the same problem, nothing would fit the standard cab LB. the price point was good so i thought I would give it a try. Take lots of pics for me. :).

Did you do a price match? Racemart had it for 226 or something like that. Jegs matched the price so I got it for 250 shipped to my door.

That's the only thing I could find for my 2011. Got it from Racemart for 226. Simple bolt on, sounds good. Mine seems to be a hair quieter without the 4" diameter extension.
I think you'll be happy with it.

Just put mine on my 2012 Sierra and it sounds great! Not too loud, but it's definitely louder than stock. Real nice rumble to it. I also installed a K&N intake too!

Three days later and the exhaust is here. Here's what $250 shipped get you from Jegs.

Yeah, that's the same kit I got from Jegs yesterday. The clamps they give you sort of suck! I had to use an impact gun just to get them to hold everything together.
