Running headers on 1994 Z71 in MA

Postby 94sierraZ71 [OP] » May 08 2012, 11:27pm

First of all I live In Massachusetts and they are tough on exhaust noise levels. I'm running a flowmaster 50 series on my 5.7 powered 94 GMC Z71 with flanges welded on each end so I can easily unbolt muffler and put oem muffler back on for inspection. Fortunately, my truck no longer has to be tested for emissions. I am wondering how my louder my truck would be with headers with the oem muffler on it at inspection time. Also would it make much difference when running the flowmaster. thanks

Not much louder. It will have header "ping" but it should pass fine.
