I recently (Friday) had BBK ceramic headers installed on my 4.8l. There were only two cracked studs that the shop had to drill out. The headers look and sound nice, but whenever I accelerate while driving, I here a strange mechanical "whirring" sound coming from the right of the engine bay. It doesn't make the sound while coasting, cruising, or idling. It also does not make the sound while I'm in park, even when revving the engine. I haven't taken it back by the shop yet, but am planning to on Tuesday or Wednesday. Does anyone have any idea what the sound could be?

Did the installer remove any drivetrain components while installing the above parts?

They didn't say that they did. However, I did find an instruction sheet on how to remove the serpentine belt laying in the cab once I got my truck back. They might have removed the belt?

Turns out it was the wrong type of gasket on the right side header.
