2012 vs 2011 Silverado front ends

Postby ASTE25 [OP] » Jul 16 2012, 12:44am

I'm looking at getting a Warn Trans4mer brush guard for my new 2012. Amazon.com says it will not fit my 2012 but it will fit the 2011. Warn's web site says 2007-2012 is what it fits. I was wondering if they are the same and Amazon.com is wrong or if Warn meant it will fit to 2012 but not including 2012's. I guess I can call Warn and ask, but I thought you all may know as well. Thanks.

Their website is a bit confusing, that's why I posted this question. Thanks for your reply though.

amazon auto's "Make sure it fits!" feature is flawed at best... I've ordered plenty of things that it says NO! WON"T FIT! just because whoever listed the item didn't include all the info about fitment. Esp. for something like a brush guard, the small cosmetic changes shouldnt anywhere near making a big enough difference

Thanks, that's kinda what I figured was what was going on. Before I order it I'll call Warn to confirm it will fit.

I clicked on this hoping it would be a rant on all the chrome on the 2012's front bumper. Went to trade in my truck and only could find 1 2012 on the lot that didnt have that poop.

I chose mine because it didn't have the "LS" option (all that chrome). I think they would look a lot better in matching paint than so much chrome. Some chrome is ok, but man, the new ones have a little too much for my taste.

Im right there with you on that one. I got the chrome handles on my 2011 and thats a stretch. I just with that they would made it an option instead of filling the lot with all the chrome. Not wanting to offend anyone but it seems to be more appealing to the older northern camper pulling generation. I personally like the colored bumper, GM failed on giving options on the lot.
