Ok so I know that the sierras come with the aluminum hood.. I was thinking about sanding it down(brushed or polished look) and having all of the creases and folds pinstriped... It kind of would make it look like sharp folds like a plane or something maybe have some rivits painted on as well... What are your thoughts on this idea?? I may just me out of my mind!
To me there won't be enough contrast if your truck is silver. Then again I've only seen this done to imports. I admire your desire to be different, but I'd leave that alone. You can't get factory paint back once it's gone. Respray just isn't the same
One thought - rather than strip your paint down to the aluminum, why not think about applying an aluminum-type vinyl wrap to the hood? Then if you don't like it, you simply peel it off.
Probably cheaper than stripping/finishing?
