Quick question...

Local guy on CL is selling a set of bed rails off a 2004 Silverado Crew Cab short box. I have a 2011 Silverado Crew Cab Short Box...will these fit? My holes are approximately 58 inches center to center...not sure about the 2004's.

I dont think they will work. One way you can check is pull up the part numbers from any mfg, like bushwacker. if the part number for '04 and '11 are the same your good to go.

He measured and said that the rails are 69 inches center-to-center. Sounds like it's a no go.

think the bed rails have different shape after 07

pretty much every friggin part from 99-06 will NOT fit anything 07-12. Some of that is intentional on GM's part, some not so much. They learn as they go, and they also are in the parts business, so as long as they give us these 6-7 year windows, Im okay with it.

Best of luck to you. We just bought new fender , bed rail & tailagate mouldings for our 99 sportside, and at $380, I know your pain. But after buying aftermarket stuff on Ebay and just about always having minor fitment issues, there is nothing like the fitment you get from genuine GM parts. but it doesnt come cheap
