Bedrug's "Bedtred"

Postby rdss [OP] » Dec 24 2010, 8:34pm

I was just reading through the new Truck Trend magazine and found Bedrug is making a product called Bedtred. It goes in like the rug but has a texture like a spray in liner, it's not permanent, and comes with a lifetime warranty. Has anyone purchased this, seen it in person or know of anyone talking about it? I might have to get this when I get my BakFlip tonneau cover. Here is the link and appreciate any input of someone has experience with it.

I have not seen this before. I really like it, though! If it lives up to the hype, this would be a great product.
I also found a youtube video that shows the features and installation of it.

Yeah, the video sold me on it. It looks simple and doesn't damage the bed. I think it is kind of expensive for not being permanent but if it holds up great it will be worth it. If I am the first to get it I will deffinatley pass on my thoughts of it.

looks great, i would still worry about water getting underneth it but if you took it out once a year to check you'd probably be fine... i mean i did live in washington so i have a paranoia about water.. i'd buy it.

I also wonder about retaining water under this rug. I DO like the product. It also will hide the little dents the spray in liner guys want to charge you extra to repair before they begin the spray process. I would like to give it the "knee" test to see if it really has cushion as advertised. I give it a thumbs up and if anybody gets one, please give us an update. How much is this thing?

I plan on running a tonneau cover so I am not that worried about water (plus if you have no bare metal showing, it isn't going to rub like a plastic liner), but it doesn't hurt to check everyonce in a while. It is going for 380 on autoanything.com with free shipping and they are offering 15% off orders over 179 right now.

Re: Bedrug's "Bedtred"

Postby eweingarden » Jan 02 2011, 6:11pm

I bought and installed one about 2 months ago for my 2011 Silverado. The installation was easy but took about 2 hours. There are seams where the side panel meets the floor piece, which will not be water tight. I am not concerned about any moisture getting underneath; the pieces don't move so they will not rub on the finish, and I have a tonneau cover on to keep the bulk of water out. The liner looks good, and the few things that I've put in the bed do not slide around. I preinstalled the velcro tape on the liner sections inside my house. When I ran short of the 1" tape, I contacted BedRug.com directly; they sent me plenty of additional tape at no charge.

It's only been 2 months since I've had it, but thus far I'm very pleased with it and glad I went with this option.
