i have a 2010 silverado 1500 and want to replace my front and rear bow ties with black ones, iv heard of numerous ways to do this but would prefer to just buy some that are already black, the dealer told me they don't have them and the only place I can find them is eBay, who has done this with their bow ties and any suggestions? Would love to even have the bow ties on my wheels and steering wheel black but I havnt found anything for them... Thanks

paint is the easiest way to get them black

have you thought about vinyl overlays?

i never thought of that but that is a good idea koolz that would work in all situations above. i mean i know u dont want to paint your stearin wheel but the fount and back can be painted

I used to have tons of them on my grand am. The guy who does my vinyl doesnt do much for the silverado..but the stuff is very durable and easy to remove when your style changes..heres a pic of what i did, notice all the blue overlays

Yup, easiest is to buy the replacements already in black. Be careful taking the tailgate emblem off.
